LAURA SANGSTER

BOCA RATON, FLORIDA

I founded The Journey Group Travel to share my passion for authentic exploration and soul-stirring adventures. My journey as a travel advisor began while working at a world-class spa at one of Arizona’s most renowned resorts, where conversations with clients often turned to travel—mine and theirs. Before long, they were returning, excited to tell me they had followed my advice and ventured to a place I had spoken about so passionately.

Over the years, I’ve built a team of skilled travel specialists dedicated to curating personalized, enriching journeys. I’m incredibly proud of our company culture and the way we are always stepping up to help each other provide the best insight and high-touch customer service to our clients.

Beyond leading our amazing team in crafting unforgettable itineraries, I’m a passionate advocate for responsible tourism, emphasizing authentic experiences and sustainability. When I’m not at my desk, you’ll find me hiking, practicing yoga (a love I picked up while living in Sedona), reading and writing, cooking, enjoying wine tastings, and making lasting memories with friends and family.

I believe that your “travel tribe” says a lot about who you are. My most memorable trips are with travel companions who are equally at home spending afternoons at a rustic beach bar on some exotic island as they are enjoying afternoon tea at one of Europe’s most luxurious hotels.

MY TRAVEL STORIES

ESTANCIA CRISTINA

ESTANCIA CRISTINA

Tucked deep in Patagonia and only accessible by boat, Estancia Cristina completely took my breath away—from the moment we sailed past glittering icebergs to arriving at the lodge, hidden in one of the most remote corners of the world.

SEXTANTIO ALBERGO DIFFUSO

SEXTANTIO ALBERGO DIFFUSO

At first, the rough stone walls and humble surroundings made me wonder what I had gotten myself into. But then, little by little, the magic unfolded. This place has all the comforts you’d ever want, layered with something far rarer: an authentic glimpse into Italian history.
